Collection: Oxidised Jewellery

Oxidised jewellery refers to jewellery made from metals, typically brass/copper/silver, that undergoes a chemical treatment to create a dark, tarnished, or antique-like finish. This process, known as oxidation, enhances the texture and details of the metal, giving the jewellery a vintage or rustic appearance. The oxidation process deliberately darkens the metal, creating contrast between the raised and recessed parts of the jewellery, highlighting intricate patterns, engravings, or designs.

Oxidised jewellery often features traditional and ethnic motifs, with patterns ranging from geometric shapes to nature-inspired elements like flowers, leaves, and animals. It is commonly used in Indian jewellery, especially in tribal and antique-inspired designs.

Unlike polished silver, which tarnishes over time and requires regular cleaning, oxidised jewellery doesn’t require much upkeep because its darkened appearance is part of the design. The dark and bold look of oxidised jewellery pairs well with both traditional and modern outfits. The pieces are often embellished with colourful beads, stones, or ghungroos to enhance their ethnic appeal. Oxidised jewellery is widely worn with traditional Indian attire but can also be paired with western outfits to create a fusion look.
